Execution Delayed For Killer Of Three

Potter County District Judge Steven Denny has withdrawn the warrant and execution date for John Balentine, 54, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 8. A court condemned Ballentine for fatally shooting Edward Mark Caylor, 17, and Kai Brooke Geyer and Steven Watson, both 15, at home in the Texas Panhandle. Prosecutors say the shooting was because of a feud between Ballentine and his girlfriend, whose brother was one of the victims.
