At approximately 7:09 am Monday, troopers responded to a two vehicle fatal crash on Hwy-135 at Spokane Road in Gregg County. Preliminary crash investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Trailblazer was stopped at the intersection of Spokane Rd and Hwy-135. The driver, identified as 16 year old Jordan Thompson of Liberty City attempted to turn south on Hwy-135. A 2000 Peterbuilt truck towing a tanker trailer, was traveling north on Hwy-135. The Chevrolet turned in front of the truck and was struck in the driver’s door. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene, a passenger in his vehicle has been transported to Good Shepard in Longview. The driver of the truck was identified as Harold Pilgreen, 29 years-old. More information will be released as it becomes available and is confirmed.
