Federal Unemployment Benefits End In Texas

Jobless Texans and unemployed people in seven other states have lost their extended unemployment benefits. The federal government had been boosting unemployment checks during the pandemic by $300. Still, some Texas businesses have complained that many people without jobs were making enough money that they didn’t want to go back to work. Texas also re-instated the mandatory must-look-for-work requirement to qualify for unemployment.
