Heat Advisory Issued

Typical August weather is in store today across the area with sunny skies high temperatures in the upper 90s and lower 100s. A Heat Advisory has been issued for the eastern counties of North and Central Texas where heat index readings will climb into the 105- 108 degree range during peak heating hours. The advisory in in effect this afternoon through 7 PM Thursday. Heat indices in the 100-105 degree range are expected across the rest of the region.
