High School Basketball Results In Today’s Sports Update

The Paris Lady Cats started district with a 59-44 win at Pleasant Grove. Senior Quiniya Savage led the team with 20 points. Before the game, Pleasant Grove honored former coach Jeff Chapman. Coach Chapman passed away last month.

The North Lamar Pantherettes defeated Pittsburg. Maddie Walters led the team with 23 points.

The Prairiland Lady Patriots defeated Lone Oak in overtime 48-43. Ali Sessums finished with 14 points. The Prairiland boys also defeated Lone Oak 45-39.

The Chisum Mustangs lost to Rains 62-61 in OT. The Mustangs trailed 31-9 at the half before storming back. Chisum took the lead with 5 seconds remaining in OT, but Rains won it at the buzzer.

The lady Mustangs also lost to Rains, the Honey Grove Warriors defeated Trenton 50-43, Rivercrest lady Rebels lost to McCleod 58-24, and Logan Huddleston had 10 points for Rivercrest.

The Rivercrest boys also lost to McCleod 60-56 in overtime. Darrion Ricks finished with 20 points, while Zachariah Lane had 18.

The Detroit lady Eagles beat Linden Kildare 39-36, while the Detroit boys fell to Linden Kildare.
