Hopkins County COVID Death Toll Hits 13

 

The Department of State Health Services report shows Hopkins County with two new deaths from COVID for five last week. That brings the total fatalities from the virus this year to 13. Meanwhile, Hopkins County-Sulphur Springs Emergency Management reports three new COVID cases and six recoveries. That brings the cumulative total to 381 positives and 297 recoveries. There are now 84 active cases and nine patients hospitalized.

Positive antigen tests from testing facilities within Hopkins County from September 25, 2020, to October 2, 2020, at 2:30 pm: 35 

*These reflect Hopkins County residents only, will be reported weekly, will not count towards state numbers, and will not be shown as “recovered.” As of 7:00 pm Thursday, October 1, 2020, a total of 284 COVID tests have been performed at the testing center located at 128-A Jefferson Street.
