The Dallas Mavericks win the second game of a back to back over the Indiana Pacers, 98-94. The Mavs were led by Dirk who poured in 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Dallas improves to 11-25 on the season. Meanwhile, the Dallas Stars fall to the Minnesota Wild, 4-2, keeping the Stars at 43 points on the season.
The Dallas Cowboys play their final game of the 2017 season on Sunday afternoon taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite nothing to gain from the contest Cowboys coach, Jason Garrett, says healthy players will play rather than give way to backups. A win would put Dallas at 9-7. A loss would give the Cowboys their forth 8-8 season in seven seasons under Garrett. Kickoff on Sunday between the Cowboys and Eagles is set for noon.
And as the college football bowl season rages on the Texas Longhorns win over Missouri, 33-16. Today Virginia takes on Navy at 12:15. No. 19 Oklahoma State plays No. 22 Virginia Tech at 4:15. Fifteenth-ranked TCU is up against 13th ranked Stanford at 8:00 pm this evening while No. 16 Michigan State plays 18th ranked Washington State at 8:00 as well. Then on New Year’s Day, the College Football playoffs begin with top-ranked Clemson taking on Alabama and second-seeded Oklahoma playing third-seed Georgia.
