JP Raises ALL Bonds For Some Weapons Charges

An East Texas Magistrate will start imposing hefty bond amounts for convicted felons caught illegally possessing firearms. Gregg County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson said he will automatically set a minimum $100,000 bond for any defendant charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Judge Jameson said he hopes other magistrates will follow his lead.
