Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Warns of Phone Scam

Lamar County residents are getting another phone scam. An individual identifies himself as “Deputy Cook” from Lamar County Sheriff’s Office. He is telling his victims that they own money on an outstanding fine or warrant. Lamar County Sheriff’s Office does not call citizens asking them for money on a ticket or warrant.
