Legacy Ag Credit Announces Election Results

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – Stockholders of Legacy Ag Credit recently elected Louis Cernoch, Jr., of Kaufman County, and Danny Evans of Hopkins County to the rural lending cooperative’s board of directors. Both will serve three-year terms.

Cernoch resides near the community of Poetry, where he owns and operates a cow-calf and yearling business with locations in several Texas counties.

Evans owns and runs a beef cattle and hay production operation. He is a county commissioner and serves on the Hopkins/Rains County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and the Region D Water Planning Group.

Also, co-op stockholders elected Jan Moosberg of Canton, Fred Moseley of Cumby and Bruce Wood of Terrell to the 2019 Nominating Committee. Serving as alternates will be Bo Fox of Sulphur Springs, John Mize of Canton and Brett Tate of Ben Wheeler.

Legacy Ag Credit is a part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of rural financing cooperatives. It has been providing financing to farmers, ranchers and rural landowners in Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Hopkins, Kaufman, Marion, Rains, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties for over 100 years. The co-op’s lending offices are in Sulphur Springs, Canton, Gilmer, Kaufman, and Longview.
