LeTourneau University – Sports

 

MEN’S TRACK

LONGVIEW, Texas – In their first year as a varsity sport, the LeTourneau University men’s track team will send first-year students, pole vaulters Austin Parrish and Alex Hindman, to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships which will take place in La Crosse, Wisconsin May 24-26.

The official announcement was made Saturday morning as both Parrish and Hindman were among the top 20 declared athletes in the pole vault who qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Parrish and Hindman will both enter next weekend’s meet with the 14th-best mark among NCAA Division III pole vault athletes as both athletes cleared 4.90 meters this season. They contest the pole vault Saturday, May 26 with a start time of 12:00 p.m.

Hindman will be competing in his second NCAA Championship event this year after qualifying and finishing 10th at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships while Parrish will be making his first-ever NCAA Championship appearance.
