Motorcyclist Dies In Van Zandt County Crash

stock photoA crash with a pickup killed a Van Zandt County motorcyclist over the weekend. It occurred on FM 279 east of Edom. Troopers say 58-year-old Lewis Woods Roy of Ben Wheeler was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck the pickup in the eastbound lane. He died at the scene. The driver of the pickup had nonincapacitating injuries.
