Motorcyclist Jailed After Pursuit, Crash In Two Counties

A motorcyclist has been arrested on multiple charges after leading Leonard police on a pursuit through two counties that reached speeds of 150 mph. Cody Collins sped down Pecan Street in Leonard, down Highway 78 from Fannin to Collin County. Near State Highway 160, a Leonard officer bumped the bike causing Collins to lay it down. He suffered a broken ankle and was taken to jail after treatment at a local hospital. Officers learned Collins was on parole and found a bag of meth in his pocket.
