North Lamar Student Wins Truck

Gatz Michael, a senior at North Lamar High School, was awarded the grand prize after being named the high point roper of the Original Team Roping Finals in Abilene, Texas, on July 4-8.  In addition to winning a new 2018 Chevrolet 2500 truck, he received $7,445 in cash and a saddle among other prizes.  He has been roping since he was seven and continues to practice every day.
