Officer-Involved Shooting

Arkansas State Police’s investigation into an officer-involved shooting in Texarkana on Mar 21 ruleed it was justified by watching dash and body cam videos. Two inmates, Michael Olson and Wayde Land escaped from the Bowie County Texas Jail Annex. Officers tried to get the men into custody when Olson resisted, leading to a struggle, and Olson got one of the officer’s guns. The officer ejected his clip that left one round in the chamber, which Olson fired. The officer ordered him to release the weapon, he refused, and she fired a shot leading to his death.
