OK Governor Calls Special Election For McCurtain County

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has called a special election to fill the McCurtain County Commissioner seat left vacant by the resignation of Commissioner Mark Jennings. He resigned after he and three members of the Sheriff’s office were captured on an audio recording allegedly speaking about ways to kill local reporters and making racist comments. Governor Stitt called for all four to resign, but only Jennings complied.
