One Dead One In Custody After Pine Forest Disturbance

Hopkins County Deputies responded to a disturbance in Pine Forest shortly after 1:00 Friday morning and found 69-year-old Jimmy Holmes deceased. Witnesses identified 49-year-old Brandon Murray as the killer. He was still on the scene, and they arrested him on a murder charge after an investigation by Deputies and Texas Rangers. He remains in the Hopkins County Jail.
