Paris Officer Returns To Duty

The Paris Police Officer involved in the fatal shooting in October of a stabbing suspect at the Kings Inn Motel has been returned to duty. The suspect, 35-year-old Edward Paul Zumski, in the stabbing, was fatally shot when he allegedly pointed a gun at officers. Texas Rangers are conducting the investigation. The officer has not been identified.
