Paris Police Report Ending Friday July 21

Just before noon Thursday, Paris Police investigated a possible narcotics violation complaint in the 2600 block of N Main. Officers arrested Joe Cochran, 38, who was in possession of approximately 42 grams of methamphetamine, Alprazolam tablets, and a small amount of marijuana.

Thursday evening officers arrested Donald Humphrey, Jr., 39, Tony Smith, 39, and Ronnie Washington, 39, all on outstanding warrants for criminal non-support.

Police worked a fight just before midnight in the 500 block of NE 2nd. Allegedly multiple people were fighting, and a known female used a tire iron on another female. The disturbance had moved to the 600 block of Tudor where one known suspect allegedly fired shots at three people. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm around 2:15 Friday morning in the 1700 block of N Main. An unknown suspect had forced entry into the building took several power tools. Another alarm went off just after 4:00 in the 4100 block of Lamar. Someone made off with two cash registers.

Paris Police responded to 122 calls for service and arrested eight people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Friday (Jul 21).
