Paris Police Report For Monday, July 1

Lacey Shay Dobbs – Photo Paris PD

 

Early Monday, officers arrested Lacey Shay Dobbs, 26, for Driving While Intoxicated after she was driving in the 1900 block of SW Loop 286 in the oncoming lanes of traffic. They witnessed Dobbs driving on the shoulder of the roadway with an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Roadside testing confirmed that Dobbs was intoxicated. They transported her to Paris Regional Medical Center, where officers obtained a warrant for her blood and booked her without incident.

On Sunday, officers arrested Antonio James Harris, 33, in the 3700 block of Lamar Avenue after finding him sleeping in a vehicle that had pulled up at a gas pump at the complaint location. Witnesses said that Harris had been there for five to ten minutes. Harris was intoxicated with a previous conviction for DWI. Officers charged Harris with DWI, a second offense, and arrested him without incident.

Police arrested Larnie Lemont Harris, 39, on Sunday for DWI after being stopped for an equipment violation in the 100 block of W. Proving St. Harris was intoxicated with an outstanding warrant for Failure to Display Drivers License. A later search of his vehicle located a handgun in a backpack. Harris, a convicted felon, is not allowed possession of firearms. Officers charged him with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a felony.

On Sunday, Constance Mae Williams, 18, police arrested her for a Terroristic Threat after she chased a family member out of and around the house with a knife—a witness driving by witnessed the incident. The victim advised that Williams never caught him but that she did chase him with a knife. Williams was arrested and booked without incident.

Officers arrested Shane William Michael last Friday at the Parole Office for a Parole warrant.

Gary Antonio Woods – Photo Paris PD

 

On Sunday, officers responded to the 500 block of Deshong Drive regarding a disturbance. They met the complainant, who advised them that Gary Antonio Woods, 27, had assaulted them, destroyed their property, and stolen their cell phone. The victim is a friendly acquaintance of Woods and stated that Woods had gotten angry at her and assaulted her by striking her with his fist. Woods had then destroyed her television by striking it with his fist, cutting his hands in the process. The victim attempted to call the police, but Woods forcibly took her phone from her and then left the residence with his mother. Officers located Woods at a residence in the 2100 block of W. Sherman St., confirmed his identity and took him into custody after a brief struggle. Woods had numerous past incidents of Family Violence. They charged him with Assault, Causing Bodily Injury, Interference with an Emergency Phone Call, Theft from a Person, and Criminal Mischief.

Last Thursday, officers received a report of a Motor Vehicle burglary at Wal-Mart. The victim left her vehicle unlocked, and unknown suspects entered and stole a handgun and ammunition. The theft happened on Saturday, June 22, but the victim did not report the incident until she checked her residence for the firearm.

Officers were informed of Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of S Main last Sunday. Suspects used rocks to break the windows to try to enter the property after hours. The windows were broken, but due to security film, entry was not made. The investigation will continue. They estimated the damage to be over $3,000.00.

Over the weekend ending Sunday, June 30, officers made 81 traffic stops, arrested 13 adults, and answered 312 calls for service.
