Paris Police Report For Tuesday May 21

On May 20, 2019, Paris Police arrested James Dale Birdsong, 51, of Paris, in the 4300-block of Bonham St. on a felony motion to adjudicate warrant for fraud by using or possessing identifying information of more than five items. Birdsong was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

An officer stopped 17-year-old Jazmyn Nikolia Smallwood, of Paris, in the 10-block of NW 10th St. at 2:43 pm on May 20, for a pedestrian violation. During the stop, Smallwood gave a wrong name and later admitted to possessing methamphetamine. She was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a bicyclist in the 700-block of Bonham St/ at 2:23 am on May 21, for not having a front or rear light. It was found that 34-year-old Jeremy Ray Worrell, of Paris, had an outstanding criminal nonsupport warrant. He was arrested and transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 103 calls for service and arrested seven people on May 20, 2019.
