Jermedrick Dejavon Washington

Officers arrested Jermedrick Dejavon Washington, 27, of Paris, at the Paris District Parole Office on a warrant charging him with burglary of a habitation. The warrant stemmed from an investigation of a theft of a residence that was reported on December 3, in the 500-block of SE Third.

Just before 9:45 Tuesday morning, Paris Police responded to a forgery call in the 3000-block of Clarksville. Reportedly, an unknown male had used a $100.00 bill to purchase a lottery ticket and a tobacco product. The money turned out to be counterfeit.

Paris Police spoke with a complainant in the Police Department lobby who reported that someone had been using a skimmer on the ATM machine in the 1900-block of NE Loop 286. They then took money out of customers accounts. The complainant advised that over $10,000 had been removed. This type of incident has been reported at other branches in three different cities in Northeast Texas.

Paris Police responded to an industrial accident at Kimberly-Clark. Employee Carl Kuhle, 60, of Bogata, was struck by a vehicle at the loading dock area. He was taken to the local emergency department. OSHA will be investigating the incident.

Paris Officers met with the parent of an 11-year-old girl who reported that an unknown male, driving a silver-colored four-door vehicle, had exposed himself to the young girl after she exited from the school bus in the area of NW 13th and W. Shiloh. The young girl reported that the male called her over to his vehicle and was exposing himself. She ran home and told her mother.

Paris Police responded to 78 calls for service and arrested four people Tuesday (Dec 11).
