Paris Woman Charged In Credit Card Scam

A 49-year-old Paris woman has pleaded guilty in Lamar County District Court to theft of more than $300,000.  Deidra Annette Kirby had applied for dozens of credit cards with a disability waiver and then forged disability documents so she didn’t have to repay the cards. She was sentenced to ten years probation and a term in a substance abuse facility. She may not go to any gambling establishments and must repay $350,000 at $400 a month.
