Powderly Home Destroyed By Fire

A home in Powderly was totally destroyed by fire late Friday night. The home was fully engulfed when firefighters from Chicota, Blossom, Powderly, Hopewell, East Post Oak, and Lamar Point arrived on the scene and could not be saved. The house, which is owned by a volunteer firefighter, had also caught fire earlier this month and was being restored when the latest fire broke out. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.
