President’s Spending Bill And Fellow Democrats

The President’s trillion-dollar social spending plan remains stalled out, and Democrats are starting to point fingers over who is to blame. Centrists, like Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar, are blaming his party’s more progressive wing. He says Democrats need to give this victory to the President and urged some progressives to re-evaluate their positions. For example, they have dropped a long-standing proposal to create a bill’s federal paid family and medical leave.
