Texarkana, USA (August 30, 2016): The Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce donated $3,700 to the Red River Lone Star Support Committee today. The Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman, Cory Floyd, stated, “The Board of Directors and the partnership fully support Red River Army Depot. We hope this contribution to the Red River Lone Star Support Committee allows them to continue their efforts to retain, expand and support this vital employer in our community. We are
thankful to the Red River Lone Star Support Committee for their timeless efforts and look forward to opportunities for collaboration in the future.”
“The Red River Lone Star Support Committee understands the importance of Red River Army Depot to the local job market and economy. We are committed to doing what we can to protect the depot’s jobs and helping to bring new missions to Red River. We also believe that the base is essential to National Defense. These funds will help us continue to advocate for the depot and educate leadership within the Pentagon and Congress so that they better understand Red River’s National Military Value,” said Dennis Lewis, Red River Lone Star Support Committee volunteer.
The Chamber continues its support of our businesses and military facilities. The Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce is a longtime supporter of Red River Army Depot. For more information on the Chamber of Commerce and its activities with military affairs, contact their office at 903-792-7191.
