A regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held Monday, January 9, 2023.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Election filing dates for school board trustees is Saturday, May 6, 2023. They announced the election as Wednesday, January 18, 2023, through Friday, February 19, 2023. Seats currently filled by Robert Cody and Robbin Vaughn are up for reelection.
The following Head Start items were given to board members for informational purposes only: Director’s Report for December and Financial Reports for December.
Michael Lamb gave a brief report on the 2021-2022 Texas Performance Reporting System. The Board will review a full report at the February 13, 2023, meeting.
ACTION ITEMS
Along with routine matters, the Board approved the following
District’s Annual Financial and Compliance Report for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2022, by Rutherford, Taylor and Company, P.C. Robert Lake reported that the district received an “unmodified” opinion, which is the best report that one can receive.
