Tire Puncturing Devices Found On Van Zandt County Interstate

The Texas Department of Transportation warns motorists that they have found tire puncturing devices on Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County. They describe Rebar Caltrops as “four-pronged, heavy gauge steel puncturing spikes thrown or linked together to cause immediate, irreparable, catastrophic failure of pneumatic tires.”  Anyone with information about these devices should call the DPS or any law enforcement agency.
