Trial Begins In Child’s Death

A jury trial is set for today in Hunt County for a woman accused of failing to seek medical assistance for the child shortly before he died. Courtney Renae Rodriguez, 26, has pleaded not guilty. She was the girlfriend of Ricky Lee Trenton Overly, of Campbell, who is serving ten years in prison for injury to a child causing serious bodily injury by omission.
