UIL State Marching Band Contest Information

AUSTIN, TX— Bands from across the state will compete for top honors at the 2016 UIL State Marching Band Championships to be held Monday through Wednesday (Nov 7-9) at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Schedule:
Monday, November 7 – Conference 4A
8:30 a.m. 4A Prelims
6 p.m. 4A Finals

Tuesday, November 8 – Conference 6A
8:30 a.m. 6A Prelims

Wednesday, November 9 – Conference 6A
9 a.m. 6A Finals

Tickets for the State Marching Band Contest are $19 for adults and $14 for students for each session (prelims and finals). An adult one-day pass ticket, which is good at both prelim and final sessions for a given conference, is available for $30 for adults and $24 for students. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or at the gate. The box office will open 1 hour, 30 minutes before the first performance. You have access to a live video feed through www.mrvideoonline.com for $10.00 for a one-day pass and $18 for a two-day pass.

Nationally recognized judges who have distinguished themselves as band directors and music educators will serve as adjudicators.

Conference 4A participants include the following high schools: River Oaks Castleberry, Rio Grande City Grulla, Canton, Paris, Kennedale, Crystal City, Abilene Wylie, Orange Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Fredericksburg, Midland Greenwood, Longview Sping Hill, La Feria, Argyle, China Spring, Rio Hondo, Pecos, Port Isabel, Paris North Lamar, Wills Point, Springtown, Atlanta, Hidalgo Early College, and Princeton.

Conference 6A participants include the following high schools: Houston Cypress Fairbanks, Lewisville Hebron, Austin Westlake, Pflugerville Hendrickson, Laredo United, Spring, Fort Bend Clements, San Antonio Reagan, Keller, Wylie, Houston Langham Creek, El Paso Franklin, Brownsville Hanna, Cedar Park Vista Ridge, Duncanville, Freeport Brazosport, Harlingen, El Paso Coronado, Richardson Berkner, Hurst Bell, Leander, Round Rock Cedar Ridge, Harlingen South, Lewisville Marcus, Fort Bend Austin, El Paso Americas, Conroe The Woodlands, Odessa Permian, Round Rock, Galena Park North Shore, Friendswood, Austin Vandegrift, Austin Bowie, Plano East, Lewisville Flower Mound, Houston Cypress Falls, Pearland Dawson, Coppell, Friendswood Clear Brook, and Conroe Woodlands College Park
