Wood County Woman Faces Embezzlement Charges

A Mineola woman surrendered to authorities after Wood County issued a warrant for her arrest. They charged Rachel Sneed, a 45-year-old of Mineola, with embezzling $300,000 from her employer, Lake Fork Special Utilities District. The thefts allegedly occurred between 2021 and this year and were first discovered in June. Deputies booked her into the Wood County Jail and then released after posting a $100,000 bond.
