High School Football Plus Series Resumes Tonight

Paris – It’s already week 10 of the high school football season in the Red River Valley. Tonight, on 101.9 KBUS, the Paris Wildcats can grab at least a share of the district title as they host Anna. The North Lamar Panthers travel to Quinlan to take on the Ford Panthers on MIX 107.7 and our KOYN Game of the Week will feature the Cooper Bulldogs on the road against Whitewright. In other area action the Chisum Mustangs will be at Leonard. Rivercrest looks to stay perfect at Simms Bowie. Detroit visits Cumby. Honey Grove is at Quinlan Boles and the Prairiland Patriots wrap up their season on the road at S&S Consolidated. Kickoff is at 7:30

Mount Pleasant – It’s already week 10 of the high school football season, meaning playoff spots are on the line. Tonight the Pittsburg Pirates look for their 3rd district win against Gladewater on KLAKE 97.7. On the Star Country Game of the Week, the Daingerfield Tigers are in the race for a district crown with a 3-1 record. they’ll host New Diana on 96.9. The Mt. Vernon Tigers are 4-1 in district 7-3A and will travel to Farmersville to take on the Fighting Farmers. The Paul Pewitt Brahmas look to stay in the playoff hunt at home against Queen City. And the Gilmer Buckeyes are perfect in district. They’ll be on the road against Atlanta.

Sulphur Springs – It’s already week 10 of the high school football season, meaning playoff spots are on the line. Tonight the Sulphur Springs Wildcats at 1-3 look to get back in the post season conversation when they travel up I30 to face the Greenville Lions on Star Country 95.9. Kickoff is at 7:30. Meanwhile, the Mt. Vernon Tigers are 4-1 in district play. They’ll make a trip to play the Farmersville Fighting Farmers. The Cumby Trojans are 7-1 on the year and will host the Detroit Eagles. The Cooper Bulldogs look for their 3rd district victory on the road at Whitewright. The Commerce Tigers are on the road against Mineola And the Emory Rains Wildcats can clinch a playoff spot when they host Canton.

The World Series moves to Chicago tonight as the Cubs take on the Indians in game three of the fall classic. The series is tied at one game apiece. The Cubs will send Kyle Hendricks to the hill. Josh Tomlin will counter for the Tribe. First pitch tonight is at 7pm.

The Dallas Mavericks host their home opener tonight at the American Airline Center. They’ll face James Harden and the Houston Rockets. Both teams are 0-1 after dropping their season openers on Wednesday. Tip off tonight at the A-A-C is set for 7:30.

And on Sunday Night Football the Dallas Cowboys welcome NFC East rival Philadelphia to AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys lead the division at 5-1 on the season, but Philly is close behind at 4-2. Despite the return of Tony Romo to the practice field this week, it’ll be rookie Dak Prescott getting the start. Kick off Sunday night [on 101.9 KBUS] is set for 7:30.
