Titus County COVID-19

Titus County Judge Brian Lee says it is good news for our healthcare providers as the rate of COVID-19 patients hospitalized has dropped below 15% of the total hospital capacity for the Trauma Service Area, including Titus County.

Less than a 15% hospitalization capacity is Governor Abbott’s benchmark for allowing restaurants and retail businesses within the Trauma Service Area to return to a 75% service capacity.

However, within Titus county, the number of active COVID-19 cases remains high, with 478 Thursday.

Please do not relax your guard and efforts to keep yourself, your family, and fellow community members safe and healthy. By now, most of you realize how contagious this disease is. Keep up the 3 Ws:
Wash your hands often;
Wear a mask; and
Watch your distance.

Also, data is showing that people who have had COVID-19 can contract the virus again. Get your vaccine as soon as you are able.
