School Districts Challenging Abbott’s Anti-Masking Mandate

Nineteen school districts across Texas are challenging Governor Abbott’s executive order, which bans mask mandates in public schools. On Friday, a judge in Austin said that the governor overstepped his authority and ruled that all 19 school districts can move ahead with their mask mandates. The state immediately appealed that decision.
