Lindale Man’s Bond Set On Child Injury Charges

A 22 year Lindale man is being held in the Smith County jail under $250,000 bond for allegedly causing serious injuries to his 4 month old daughter.  The girl was initially taken to an area hospital and then flown to a Dallas hospital with serious head trauma.  Doctors there found other significant injuries and notified CPS.  CPS then notified detectives. Wesley Watkins has been charged with injury to a child with the intent to commit serious bodily injury.  He reportedly admitted to hurtingthe baby.
