Senior midfielder Stephanie Vana<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3183> was named the Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year by the American Southwest Conference head coaches. Three other YellowJackets earned honors as Sarah Harder<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3169> and Kennedy Keer<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3175> made their second appearance on All-ASC teams. Freshman Rebekah Stevenson<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3199> was recognized as an honorable mention.

All four are well-deserving and did a fantastic job this year representing LeTourneau University,” said head coach John Antonisse<http://letuathletics.com/coaches.aspx?rc=416>. “It’s also so nice to see that senior Stephanie Vana<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3183> was recognized for the wonderful person and competitor that she is by winning the Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year. I’m very proud of these student-athletes and our entire team for persevering and battling through to the very end and not letting setbacks define us.”

Senior midfielder Stephanie Vana<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3183> earned her fourth straight post season honors and third time being named first-team all-ASC. Vana is the first in program history to earn these accolades and she also leaves her name all over the LeTourneau women’s soccer record books. Despite missing seven games this season Vana scored five goals and added five assists to lead the YellowJackets in both categories. The La Verne, California native finishes in fifth all-time in career points with 59(24 goals, 11 assists) and has taken 182 career shots and is second in school history after her four years at LeTourneau.

Junior midfielder Kennedy Keer<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3175> and sophomore defender Sarah Harder<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3169> earned third-team All-ASC honors; the second consecutive all-conference awards for each. Keer scored five goals to lead the team along with Stephanie Vana<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3183> and was a versatile player for head coach John Antonisse<http://letuathletics.com/coaches.aspx?rc=416>. The Gambrills, Maryland native played multiple positions throughout the season to help wherever it was needed and added three assists to go along with her five goals.

Sarah Harder<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3169> was the anchor for a YellowJacket defensive unit that recorded seven shutouts this season, the most in a single-season in LeTourneau women’s soccer history. The Pearland High School product started all 18 games for the YellowJackets and led the team in minutes played with 1,473. Harder’s toughness and leadership on the back line was vital to the team’s success this season as LeTourneau made their second consecutive ASC Tournament appearance and fourth in program history.

Freshman midfielder Rebekah Stevenson<http://letuathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3199> was named honorable mention after her rookie season. The Conroe, Texas native started 16 games for the YellowJackets and scored her first career goal in a game against ETBU on September 24th. Stevenson’s aggressive play was a big advantage for LeTourneau this season as she brought a physical presence in the midfield.

With three out of the four award winners returning for the YellowJackets the future looks bright as LeTourneau women’s soccer continues to improve season after season.
