The Paris City Council has taken action on the former First National Bank building, which is said to be in such bad shape that is in danger of collapse. The council voted to cut electricity to the building until repairs are made. Meanwhile, AT&T applied for a temporary restraining order to prevent utilities from being cut off. AT&T said if power was cut off, cell phone users would lose emergency communications such as 911, Amber and Weather Alerts and other notices. A hearing on the motion is set for January 24.
