Lamar County Mother Sentenced for Drugs and Child Endangerment

District Judge Wes Tidwell has sentenced a Lamar County mother to ten years in state prison for one count of drug possession and two years for child endangerment. Court documents show officers found about an ounce of methamphetamine and a loaded gun within reach of Stephanie Simer’s five-year-old child. Simer will be eligible for parole after serving 180 days behind bars.
