Elderly Woman Dies In Greenville House Fire

Greenville Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire and found a wood frame house in the 1800 block of Jones Street completely engulfed in flames. Crews were made aware that there was likely someone still inside the residence, but at that time the roof collapsed and firefighters had to take a defensive position to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent homes. The body of an elderly lady was later found inside the home.
