Fallin Expect To Sign Bill To Avert Teacher’s Strike

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin is expected to sign a bill passed by the legislature that will give teachers an average $6100 pay increase. Taxes will increase by $1 a pack for cigarettes, three cents a gallon for gasoline and six cents a gallon for diesel. Also, the oil and gas production tax will more than double, from two percent to five percent.
