East Texas Teen Dies In One Vehicle Crash

State Troopers say an East Texas teen was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Shelby County that happened Sunday night but not discovered until Monday morning. Preliminary investigation indicates that 17-year-old Emily Hernandez-Garcia of Center was driving east on State Highway 7 when she drove across the westbound lanes and struck a tree. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
