Game one of the World Series goes to the L-A Dodgers with a 3-1 win over the Houston Astros. Highland Park native, Klayton Kershaw was stellar for the Dodgers throwing seven innings giving up only one run on three hits and striking out 11. Game two is tonight with L-A sending Rich Hill to the mound against the Astros Justin Verlander.  First pitch tonight is at 7:09.
The Dallas Cowboys have made a move to bring in veteran Mike Nugent to fill in while Dan Bailey recovers from a groin injury. Nugent has spent 11 season in the league including seven with the Cincinnati Bengals. For his career, Nugent has made 81% of his field goals with his career-long coming from 55 yards out. Dallas waived defensive end, Demontrae Moore to make room on the roster.
And the Dallas Stars fall last night to the Colorado Avalanche, 5-3. Left Winger, Jamie Benn, picked up three points for the Stars, including a pair of goals and an assist. With the loss, the Stars stay at ten points on the season and drop to 5-4-0. Dallas will be back on the ice tomorrow night in Edmonton. Puck drop will be at 8:00 pm.
