Bowie County Adds Two More COVID-19 Cases

Bowie County Judge Bobby Howell confirmed Monday that two employees of LaSalle Corrections tested positively for the COVID-19 virus. It brings Bowie County’s count to five with one fatality. LaSalle Corrections operates the Bi-State Jail and the Bowie County Correctional Center.

Bowie County reports its first death to COVID-19. A 70-year-old Texarkana woman who tested positive for the new coronavirus died Saturday in Wadley Regional Medical Center according to her husband Monday. It is the first fatality related to the disease in Bowie County.
