Bowie County Judge Rejects Plea Bargain

Bowie County Judge John Tidwell threw out a proposed plea bargain for a former Texarkana area teacher who pleaded guilty to invasive visual recording and would have received five years’ probation. His ruling came after he reviewed a pre-sentence investigation into 31-year-old Shane Samuel Jones. Jones then withdrew his plea and the case will go to the grand jury for possible indictment.
