Campbell Woman Sentenced In Toddler’s Death

A Campbell woman has been sentenced in connection with the death of a 2 year old boy.  Gabriella Ortiz, who was originally charged with capital murder in the death of Brandon Herrera, reached a plea bargain with prosecutors and pleaded guilty first degree injury to a child. Judge Richard Beacom sentenced Ortiz to 42 years behind bars.
