Charges Dropped Against Former Wood County Sheriff

District Judge Joe Clayton dismissed felony charges of abuse of official capacity against former Wood County Sheriff James Arthur Brown. The charges stemmed from a shooting incident on Brown’s property that occurred in the fall of 2015. KLTV TV-Tyler reports that four misdemeanor official oppression charges filed against Brown are still pending.
