City and County Schedule “Clean Up Mount Pleasant and Titus County.”
The City of Mount Pleasant, Titus County, and Republic Services are sponsoring a “Clean Up” for area residents.

On Saturday (Mar 19), between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. Republic Services at the Pleasant Oaks Landfill will be accepting refuse from City of Mt Pleasant residents at no charge.

The City will not be picking up at curbside. Pleasant Oaks Landfill is the site to take all items, located at 3031 FM 3417.

Dumpsters will be available for County residents from Monday (Mar 14), thru Monday (Mar 21), at noon. The dumpsters are at the following locations:
Pct. 1: CR 1670 West side of US 271, South of Coal Mine Road
Pct. 2: Tri-Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, Pct. 2 Barn on 3417,
and at Winfield near Post Office.
Pct. 3: Sugar Hill Community Center, Argo Community Center, and old barn at Talco (71 East)
Pct. 4: Cookville walking track off of FM 1000 (old school site) and at
East side of FM 1000 and Hwy 49.

Citizens of Mt. Pleasant and Titus County are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clean up and dispose of unwanted rubbish, trash, brush, old furniture, or other household items at no cost.
Residents who wish to dispose of appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, washers, and dryers can take the refuse to the Pleasant Oaks Landfill. Compressors should be removed from devices if possible. Items that will not be accepted include tires, batteries, paint, and oil.
