A 28-year-old East Texas man on death row for the murder of his girlfriend’s 13-month-old daughter during an exorcism has lost an appeal Thursday to the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The panel rejected arguments from Blaine Milam of Rusk County. Evidence in the trial showed the child was bitten at least 30 times and beaten with a hammer.
