Disaster Declaration Issued For Hopkins County

Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom has issued a Disaster Declaration due to the effects of last week’s winter storm. The declaration could possibly increase Hopkins County’s eligibility to receive weather-related disaster assistance from the state and federal governments. The declaration accompanies paperwork the county submitted to have the county considered to be added to President Biden’s list of 77 counties eligible to apply for additional individual assistance for storm related damages.
