East Texas Jailers Arrested

An investigation is continuing into an incident that has resulted in the arrest of 2 Harrison County jailers. The jailers were arrested after an inmate claimed one of the men assaulted him. Jailer Billy Hopkins was fired and then arrested for official oppression. Jailer Sansom Sanni resigned and was arrested for making a false report to an officer. The charges stem from the booking of a combative suspect who allegedly spit on the jailers and bit one.
